HOTEL INFORMATION
The Peabody Hotel, located at 149 Union Avenue, is a beautiful, historic hotel known for its “Peabody Ducks” that live on the roof and make daily outings to the lobby. It is within walking distance of the famed Beale Street with several opportunities for jazz, such as the B.B. King’s Blues Club. While in Memphis, don’t forget to try the barbeque offered by many restaurants in the area. The city is also known for its many museums, including the Sun Studio and the National Civil Rights Museum. More detailed information will be forthcoming on other activities available during your stay.

To make reservations at the Peabody Hotel, attendees may call their Reservation Department at 1-800-PEABODY.  To ensure the convention rate, you must identify the group name (U of Memphis - Homicide Research).  The conference rate for our group is $159 per night for a room with a single/double, $179 per night for a room with a triple, and $199 for a quad. Shoulder rooms at the convention rate are available for Tuesday, June 6th, and Saturday, June 10th. The last day for reserving a room with the HRWG rate is May 8, 2017 at 5:00 pm.
